Abstinence
Reality Check is an abstinence curriculum presented
by specially trained male and female volunteers, which is meant
to educate middle and high school students about the physical risks
(STDs/pregnancy), emotional heartbreak, and mental impact of sexual
activity before marriage. Students are engaged in an interactive
presentation that defines the risks of early sexual activity, the
value of meaningful relationships, and the benefits of delaying
sexual activity until entering into a committed marriage. The importance
of setting boundaries in relationships and the need for establishing
specific life goals is emphasized.
The presentation includes clever illustrations, thought-provoking
audience participation skits, as well as the personal testimonies
of the presenters. The 40-minute Reality Check is based on the belief
that knowledge is power, and the students are given medically tested,
accurate information and then encouraged to determine their course
of action. A biblically based presentation is also available for
church youth groups. For more information about the program or to
schedule a presentation for a school or church youth group please email us.
